"Expression is the key to my creative process" says 2012 Kentucky Derby artist, Robert Joyner. No where is this more evident than in the Kentucky Derby and Oaks paintings which grace the official tickets, program covers and other Derby 138 KY Derby memorabilia. His spontaneous energy and sense of movement is conveyed in the quick strokes of paint and characteristic charcoal outlines found in both works.
